Upon receipt
of the Architectural Plans, HardRock will prepare a comprehensive proposal
for your granite countertop project. Please include a granite selection
summary that identifies the color, thickness, edge treatment and backsplash
height that you require. If you have selected the Group I or Group

HardRock
typically provides four (4) 12 x 12 granite samples for approval.
Upon approval, all four (4) samples are to be signed by the client and
returned to HardRock. HardRock will sign the samples and send one
(1) back to the client. The remaining three (3) samples will be retained

Trade
Coordination
In order
to begin preparation of the Granite Countertop shop drawings, we require
a complete set of Cabinet Shop Drawings; along with, Cut Sheets and Templates
for all cut-outs (Sinks, Cooktops, Faucet holes, etc.) that you want us
to include. It is also recommended that you provide the necessary
contact information for these vendors so that HardRock can participate
in; and, expedite the entire coordination process. We possess valuable
insight and experience in the coordination of all trades for granite countertop
shop drawings. Through our direct communication with these vendors,
we will facilitate the rapid integration of all information necessary to
complete the final granite countertop drawings. We recognize that
any information which we gather in this fashion is ultimately subject to
final verification; and, correction or approval by the client. All
verbal and written communications with these vendors that require client
verification will be properly documented and summarized for you on a weekly
basis.
Granite
Countertop Shop Drawings
HardRock's
Chief
Design Analyst identifies all of the additional details and/or
dimensions that we may require from the client in order to complete the
dimensional coordination of the granite tops. Our Master
Detailer thoroughly reviews all of the dimensions and details provided
within the initial documents and incorporates all additional information
collected during the coordination process. He is the point man in
the process. His primary function is to insure that all space limitation
and/or constructibility issues that arise are promptly identified and resolved
with the client. The Master Detailer is also responsible
for communicating and distributing all information to the necessary parties
in order to minimize turnaround time. HardRock's Drafting Department
prepares a comprehensive set of granite countertop shop drawings for submittal
and approval based upon the information gathered and coordinated by our
Master
Detailer.
Total
Quality Management -TQM
Our Senior
Draftsman reviews the final approved granite top shop drawings
against all other documents for compliance and accuracy. The Master
Detailer double checks all of these drawings, dimensions, details
and cut sheets for precision. HardRock’s Chief Design Analyst
releases the granite shop drawings for fabrication only after he has performed
a triple check of these documents.
Delivery
Time
The lead
time for final granite countertop shop drawings on a typical project is
approximately six weeks; however, we offer an expedited plan, at no additional
cost, that will facilitate completion of the entire process in as little
as two to four weeks. The average lead time for a single container
order (3,500 SF) of granite tops is approximately six weeks from final
approval.
